Insurance

Monika is not currently in-network with any insurance plans, but you may still be eligible for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Coverage for nutrition counseling varies greatly by plan and may change from year to year. We recommend calling your insurance carrier prior to your visit and asking the following questions to confirm your out-of-network nutrition counseling benefits (Tip: Ask for a reference number for your call):

We’re happy to help you navigate the often-confusing world of health insurance. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have regarding insurance.

Fees

Please contact us to inquire about current supervision and consulting rates, nutrition counseling session fees, and discounted package prices. A limited number of reduced fee and sliding scale appointments are available for those in financial need.

Scheduling

The first nutrition counseling appointment is 75-90 minutes, and the focus is on learning more about you. We’ll discuss your medical and health history, eating habits and preferences, lifestyle, current challenges, and what you want to achieve in our work together. Then we’ll begin collaborating on a plan to help you reach your goals. Follow-up visits range from 30-55 minutes and provide ongoing support as well as additional education, tools, strategies, and adjustments to your plan to help you continue to make and maintain progress. The frequency of follow-up sessions is based on your individual needs and will be discussed during our first visit. Case consultation and supervision for health professionals are offered in either 45- or 60-minute sessions. Other consulting services can be booked on an hourly or project basis.
